40th Annual Fairy Tale Forest
October 16, 17, 18, and 19, 2025
Trail Open 6 - 8:30 PM
This non-scary Halloween event is sure to delight! Walk through a quarter-mile trail on the “WALK OF 100 JACK-O-LANTERNS” carved by local volunteers. Get a treat bag to take home! Wear a costume if you like, but it is not required. Dress to be outside.

Children 2 and under are FREE
All tickets must be purchased online.
Please print the receipt or have it on your phone, as your ticket and bring it to the event in case your name is not on the admission (will-call) sign-in list.

Call to volunteer to carve pumpkins, help with the event, and make a donation of candy, pumpkins, Halloween toys and more, 816-781-8598. Or sign up to Volunteer online! There will be a few characters on the trail this year but the Nature Center and restrooms will be closed.
Please remember this is a fundraiser for our Wildlife Sanctuary to benefit the operations/programs fund of Martha Lafite Thompson Nature Sanctuary. Please be sure to buy tickets in advance online. Presently, we are not planning to offer sales at the gate. Please DO NOT arrive before your admission time. Tickets ARE NOT transferable.
