You can help meet the needs of many.  Be a part of the Sanctuary’s efforts to:

Educate 18,000 students annually with hands-on learning experiences such as field trips, school programs, scout programs, and summer camp.

Attract 25,000 visitors each year for wildlife viewing, nature-focused public education programs and special events

Balance the needs of people, plants, and wildlife by providing vital green space in the center of a rapidly developing area.

Promote commerce in the Northland by providing valuable cultural, education, and recreational facilities to the community.

Involve the community by utilizing the time and skills of many talented volunteers.

Preserve wildlife by maintaining a large diversity of native Missouri habitats including old- and new-growth forest, marsh, pond, creek, and tallgrass prairie.

Provide natural surroundings available for public enjoyment. Trails are open and accessible to all, including those with disabilities, 365 days a year from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. during Daylight Savings hours and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during winter hours.
